Jacques Bermon Webster II (born: April 30, 1991 (1991-04-30) [age 33]), better known professionally as Travis Scott, is an American musician, rapper, songwriter, and record producer, who performs the genres of rap, hip hop, trap, and alternative hip hop.

Travis Scott was born on April 30, 1991, and grew up in Houston, Texas. From the age of one to six, he lived with his grandmother. Travis along with his family members are musicians. His dad was a drummer and his grandfather was a jazz composer.

He played the drums when he was three, and ended up producing his first ever song when he was thirteen. He used to start fist fights with his dad, and lying to his mother, as he spent money that she sent him for plane tickets to New York to Los Angeles on something else.

Controversy[]

2023 Nebula assault allegations[]

On March 1, 2023, Scott was performing at Nebula nightclub in New York City when a sound technician, Mark, asked him to lower the music. Scott responded by punching Mark in the head, causing him to need medical attention. Scott was found to be drinking alcohol and had damaged $12,000 in the club's sound equipment. The New York City Police Department issued a warrant for Scott's arrest on March 2, 2023.[1] The matter was resolved with a settlement, and the NYPD did not press any charges.[2]
