TubNet was a British-American[citation needed] Minecraft server owned by Tubbo and the gaming organization Misfits Gaming, that was originally released in 2019 as an events server, and was re-released as a cross-platform minigames server in 2022. It closed down on January 12, 2024.[citation needed]
History[]
Initially released in 2019, TubNet was an events server under the IP address mc.tubbo.net, and supported Minecraft Java Edition versions from 1.8 to 1.15.[citation needed]
The server is set to be re-released in August 2022 as an Minecraft Bedrock and Java Edition cross-platform minigames server, which will be able to support tens of thousands of players across both editions, being the second server to have custom models as well.[citation needed]
On February 15, 2022, Tubbo announced that he now has an office for TubNet in Florida, United States.[1] TubNet later ran a creator alpha in June 2022 until the day of Craftmaster Live.
On July 17, 2022, TubNet announced their release date as August 2022, as well as confirming the IP change from "tubbo.net" to "tubnet.gg".[2][3] The day of Craftmaster Live, TubNet announced that the server would release August 26th.[4]
On August 25, 2022, Tubbo announced that the server will not launch the next day, due to 'issues with their service providers'.[5] There was no release date for TubNet until on November 16, 2022 when they announced they will be fully releasing on November 25th, with Bedrock support being released on early 2023. It was later delayed in late 2023, in favor of Bedrock's soft launch.[6]
On November 18, 2023, Bedrock was soft launched on their Discord server. It was later announced before the Server's 1st Anniversary by Tubbo, saying that him and the team wanted to get the server to 1000 players before the "TubNet Anniversary Clash" event.[7] Bedrock was fully released by December 1.[8]
On January 8, 2024, TubNet announced that the servers are going into hiatus on January 12, 2024.[9]
