Twi Shorts (born: February 18, 2005 (2005-02-18) [age 19]), or simply Twi, is a Canadian gaming YouTuber known for his Minecraft skits related to music. He gained popularity from YouTube Shorts.

Content[]

Twi Shorts is well known for his short Minecraft videos. A popular series on his channel, "Minecraft Music Syncs" consists of him taking different Minecraft game noises and syncing and repitching them to the tune of popular songs.

History[]

Twi Shorts started his YouTube channel in May 2016, and uploaded his first video, "Attack of the Marios! Deathrun map with TheCoolCreeper55," on May 7, 2016. He continued to upload occasionally until February, 2018. He then did not upload on his channel until February, 3 years later.

In the beginning of February 2021, Twi Shorts decided to take his channel in an entirely new direction. He began uploading content to YouTube Shorts, which would lead to the rise of his channel. He managed to amass over 10,000 subscribers in under 2 months of starting to upload YouTube shorts. On April 14, 2021, Twi Shorts uploaded a video titled "Montero in Minecraft (Call Me By Your Name) (Official Parody)." After a month and a half, the video started to sky rocket in views and went from 300 thousand to 4.5 million views within a week, and is now his most viewed video, with over 37 million views. Twi Shorts started seeing huge success when he began to incorporate unique musical aspects into his videos. Videos of him repitching the sound of Minecraft amethyst to popular music and showing a pixel art creation related to the song became a popular trend on his channel. He then created a new spin on the trend by incorporating a second person into the video that also creates a second mural, creating a song remix and a mix of both of the murals put together. The person that reoccurs the most in these videos is his YouTuber friend, Beesechurger_73, who has his own YouTube channel where he uploads his perspectives of the videos, along with other Shorts and long form content.

Twi Shorts reached 100,000 subscribers on July 2, 2021. Less than 4 months later, on October 21, 2021, Twi Shorts reached 1 million subscribers and 400 million channel views. To this day, Twi Shorts remains one of the biggest Short Form gaming creators on YouTube.
