Evan[1] (born: September 21, 2003),[2][3] better known online as uhyeah, is a Canadian[4] gaming and commentary YouTuber who uploads a wide variety of videos of him commentating anything related to the Five Nights at Freddy's (FNAF) media franchise, as well as Garten of Banban more recently. He joined YouTube on January 11, 2022, and is currently residing in Canada. He reached 150,000 subscribers on March 26, 2022.[5]
History[]
uhno[]
Initially, uhyeah would start his career on October 20, 2021, with his first YouTube channel uhno. He would not upload to it until January 4, 2022, where he would upload a video on the uhno channel titled "Analyzing The Hidden Powers of Nikocado Avocado". While the video did not do well, it served as a base for his future content.
From uhno to uhyeah[]
On January 11, 2022, he would start a new second channel named uhyeah shorts and the @uhyeahyt TikTok account. Uhyeah posted his first video about FNAF character Withered Chica in Ultimate Custom Night, that has since been unlisted for misinformation.[6] He would post another video a day later, where he would explain the History of the FNAF character Music Man. He also uploaded the video to his TikTok account.
The Rise of the uhyeah YouTube Channel[]
Uhyeah would start to gain traction on TikTok. While his YouTube short about Music Man would continue to go under the radar, the same video would gain 500,000 views on TikTok. He would continue to make these shorts and eventually changed his YouTube username from "uhyeah shorts" to simply "uhyeah". He didn't start taking his YouTube channel seriously, however, until he created a video about about Mangle.
The uhyeah channel grew to 3000 subscribers in the first 3 days of this video being out. On February 2, 2022, he shouted out his YouTube on his TikTok and he gained 23,000+ subscribers in the next 3 days. On February 10, 2022, he would upload his last YouTube short and last TikTok, At this point, he had roughly 90,000 followers on his TikTok account and had 52,900 subscribers on his YouTube channel.
On February 12, 2022, uhyeah would upload his first non-short video on the uhyeah channel, titled "The FNAF Animatronic that Scott Cawthon Forgot". The video did extremely well, currently standing at 2.2 Million views. Because of this, he made a new series named Forgot Or Not?. He continued to make more FNAF videos, which in turn continued to prosper and grow. He would promote his old uhno channel as his second channel, (but eventually stop promoting for undisclosed reasons). On February 26, 2022, he would hit 100,000 subscribers.
Current Status[]
As of June 28, 2024, he is still growing and active, with a subscriber base of 622,000. Currently, he plans to decrease the amount of videos made on FNAF, and to instead focus on deep dive videos on random topics on internet culture. He has also created a gaming channel called uhyeah gaming, where he livestreams various games and interacts with his audience.

GTLive Mention[]
On November 14, 2022, GTLive posted a video with Matpat and Tom titled "FNAF's Biggest Mystery SOLVED!?" reacting to a video from FuhNaf, trying to theorize about FNAF Security Breach, and Patient 46. (in the timestamp 7:17 of this video), Matpat mentions uhyeah by agreeing with his video titled "I Do Not Like Sister Location", where uhyeah states, along with fellow Youtuber Pastra, that he does not like Sister Location. In part 2 of that same video, uhyeah mentions how he didn't think Matpat would have noticed him, let alone mention and agree with him.
The "Leapster Port" Incident[]
Amidst the notoriety surrounding the Euphoric Brothers and their game series Garten of BanBan, uhyeah made a tweet requesting a Leapster port, resulting in him being blocked by them. Other YouTubers who are friendly with uhyeah such as Th3Badd3st made videos to spread a twitter hashtag, titled #freeuhyeah, which managed to trend on Twitter.[8]
On December 27, 2023, uhyeah was randomly unblocked by the Euphoric Brothers meaning that #freeuhyeah was a success.[9]
Handy Dan[]
On June 30th, 2023, uhyeah released a video, in which he discussed Garten of Banban content farms, specifically Buggy Huggy and Sail Playtime. These are two infamous Garten of Banban YouTubers, who are known for continuing the original story of Banban, in their own way, with their own characters. In response to this, uhyeah decided to create Handy Dan, a purple beaver character, who was created with the intent of being featured on a channel like Sail Playtime. Dan quickly rose to prominence, and become massively popular, so much so that DOM Studios even included him as a character in their videos. It's not to say that Dan didn't cause any controversies, however, as his creation resulted in the Garten of Banban Fanon Wiki being raided. This was done by multiple users who were in on the meme. uhyeah quickly addressed to his viewers that they should not attack the wiki, and thankfully, the raid ended as quickly as it started. As of now, Handy Dan's page remains one of the most viewed on the wiki.
Criticism[]
Rjac25 Interview[]
On November 15, 2022, uhyeah would upload a video titled "The FNAF Game That Was DELETED In 5 Hours".[10] In the video he would talk about the Five Nights at Freddy's fangame, Post-Shift 2, towards the end of the video he would "interview" the game's developer, Rjac25.[11] Many in both the comment section of the video and the comment section of the Post-Shift 2 gamepage[12][13] would criticise the interview due to him being way too harsh.
On August 11, 2024, almost 2 years after the drama, uhyeah would finally respond to the criticism in a video titled "Talking About Controversy" which he would upload to his second channel, uhyeah gaming. In the video, he would say that he wasn't trying to be rude and thought he was just asking Rjac25 questions that people wanted answers to at the time.[14]
