Universal Pictures, also known as Universal Studios or Universal, is an American[1] film production studio and broadcasting system founded in 1912.[1] They're mostly recognized for their movies from themselves and their subsidiaries, such as Jurassic Park,[2] Back to the Future,[3] ET: The Extra Terrestrial,[4] JAWS,[5] etc. Universal is also well known for creating multiple theme parks in different countries, such as California,[6] Orlando,[7] Japan,[8] Beijing,[9] and Singapore.[10] They're currently owned by Comcast, through it's division NBCUniversal.[1]

Universal created their YouTube channel on June 19, 2006, where they'll upload movie trailers, clips, and behind-the-scenes for their upcoming movies, along with movies from other companies like Illumination.[11]
