Valorant (stylized in all-caps) is a free-to-play first-person tactical hero shooter video game developed and published by Riot Games, for Windows. The game began a closed beta period with limited access on April 7, 2020, which was teased on October 2019,[1] before being fully released on June 2, 2020.[2][3]

The development for Valorant began in 2014, taking inspiration from the Counter-Strike video game series.[4]
