Hi, and welcome to Vincenzo's Plate!

―Vincenzo Prosperi

Vincenzo Prosperi,[1] better known online as Vincenzo's Plate, is an Italian[1] YouTuber and chef based in Australia, known for his videos showcasing homemade Italian recipes and reactions to other videos showcasing Italian cooking. He also sometimes makes videos comparing commercially available premade Italian Cuisine ingredients or taste ready-to-eat Italian meals (usually to his discomfort).

History[]

Back in 2013, Vincenzo originally made his channel in response to friends and family asking him how he makes Italian food. They initially couldn't believe that homemade Italian food can be that easy, so he decided to show them with his videos. While he does largely focus on authentic Italian dishes, he likes to add his own twist every now and again.

Vincenzo stated that his main inspiration that made him cook is Jamie Oliver. However, after he reacted to Jamie Oliver's One Pan Veggie Lasagna recipe, Vincenzo was understandably upset to the point where he no longer considered Jamie Oliver as his inspiration anymore, and declares that Uncle Roger will be his new best friend.[2]

Personal life[]

Vincenzo was born in the Abruzzo region of Italy,[3] and worked in restaurants in London[4] before settling down in Australia where he operated a catering service for weddings, venues and other occasions. Vincenzo has a wife named Suzanne and two sons named Sebastian and Alessandro.

Trivia[]

  • Vincenzo challenged Uncle Roger to make spaghetti alla carbonara and reacted to that video. Uncle Roger then challenged Vincenzo to make egg fried rice.
  • In the pinned comment of him reacting to Jamie Oliver's 'Lasagna',[2] Vincenzo stated that he at first believed that Uncle Roger was always right about Jamie Oliver, but refused to believe him, until he watched the video, and to his dismay, declares Uncle Roger as his new best friend.
