Weekly L is an Italian-Finnish-German-American[citation needed] Gaming and Commentary channel who makes Commentary videos about drama and Geometry dash videos, and formerly Countryball news.

History[]

From Jokes to Commentary[]

Weekly L started his YouTube Channel originally called The Weekly L and before that, Mr L making low-quality joke videos, on the join date of November 2nd 2023 but then starting in May 2024, Weekly L switched up his content style from low-quality joke videos to higher quality Commentary videos with his user Countryball, a mix between the German and Nordic flags[2], as the main persona.

A Bumpy Restart[]

For the first four weekly uploads, The Weekly L faced minor upsets from the people he covered, until his fifth upload about Algerian Countryball animation channel, Leoball which he criticized in his video "The Countryballs Rabbit Hole Gets Worse". After posting the video, The Weekly L's YouTube channel was hit with a Copyright strike from Leoball, who later would renounce the claim after a lot of pressure from both communities.[citation needed]

A Rapid Growth[]

On June, 26 2024[3], Weekly L's Official Discord Server was created, which led to a developing fan base around the Weekly L, which started to as well attract critics, notably Noah Dabir, a Countryball animation channel who was banned from Weekly L's Discord server In response he had created an alternative account which, when found by the moderators banned it, Noah started to make multiple community posts about it.[citation needed]

The Noah Dabir Situation[]

Noah Dabir's community posts referencing Weekly L would start to get more extreme over time. So far in fact that Noah tried to leak Weekly L's personal information such as his address, face, and stuff about his family, although most of the information he tried to show was untrue, the situation bubbled up so much in fact, that Weekly L made a video talking about what Noah had done which was deleted after Noah Dabir reported it for Cyber bullying, responding to this Weekly L made a post about the situation.[4] As well as Noah Dabir, other channels started sharing there criticizing the Weekly L, which he would later call them babies,[5] fetuses and other insult correlating to Noah Dabir's age.[6]

Leaving the Countryball Community[]

On August, 15th 2024 Weekly L would announce in the video "Why I am quitting countryballs..." that he would be leaving the Countryball community for a multitude of reasons such as degeneracy and little kids that cause problems and harassment in the community[7]. As well, Weekly L took a vacation for the time being but returned on August 17th. After leaving the community he would begin to use his icon from Geometry Dash to represent himself.

  • Before his username was Weekly L, the original name for the channel was Mr L[citation needed]
  • After the Drama with Leoball was resolved Leoball made a meme where they shook hands[9]
