Jacob West (born: May 29, 1998), better known online as Weest (or Weesterner), is an American YouTuber who does anthologies on memes. He started YouTube in 2016 and does videos with YouTubers such as CallMeCarson, Twomad, and kingani.
History[]
In the summer of 2016, Jacob made an iFunny account, He made vines, voiced over videos, and edited videos on his phone. After Jacob was done with iFunny he moved on to Instagram, Where he started the AmandyXD series in which he pretended to be a 14-year-old girl named Amandy and chatted with people on adult sites. After he started lengthening the AmandyXD videos he uploaded them to YouTube, due to Instagram's time limit for videos. He started to gain more views ever since those videos took off and he branched out. He later discontinued this series in January 2018, he claims to extremely hate the series looking back on it. While still continuing YouTube content, Jacob focuses on being a daily Twitch streamer. Most nights he streams from 7:00 PM EST to around 11:00 PM EST. On April 11, 2019, during his stream, a sudden cut of feed from Jacob occurred. The connection was fixed soon after, though fans are hypothesizing that was, in fact, the work of an SCP entity, and that the real Jacob has been replaced by it, being held captive in some sort of extra-dimensional prison.
SCP Abduction Updates[]
- 4/16/2019: There was a small power outage reported by Jacob's partner, it is presumed this was the real Jacob manipulating electromagnetic waves through the other realm in order to communicate and ask for help. Unfortunately, nobody was able to help.
- 4/28/2019: During the stream, there was an interruption while Jacob was having a conversation concerning sex-ed in schools. It is theorized the SCP intentionally stopped the stream to research human mating customs in order to not blow their cover.[citation needed]
Personal life[]
Weest is from the United States. He lived in Nacogdoches, Texas but moved to Austin, Texas in late 2021. Jacob is also friends with many other content creators including but not limited to TheOdd1sOut, Kingani, CallMeCarson, Styxo, and KCLafon. He is adopted. His Mom went to Prison when he was little.
He lives with his girlfriend, Kristian (@myscalybabies), roommate Julie, and their 2 dogs, a six-year-old corgi-border collie mix, Kevin (@bestboykev), a one-year old dog Rex, and fluffy white cat Sophia.
Controversies[]
Slazo and Chey[]
In June 2019, Slazo was falsely accused of being a rapist by his ex, Chey. Before Slazo's response, Jacob and many YouTubers such as ImAllexx came out their support of Chey with Slazo's side. However, Jacob started to receive backlash after he didn't apologize to Slazo even after Slazo showed evidence that he was falsely accused. Jacob, later on, admitted that he was wrong about the whole situation and apologized to Slazo in private.[1]
Easter Stream[]
In April, 2022, Jacob did a Twitch Stream on Easter titled "Easter isn't a holiday jesus is dead why is there a rabbit".[2] This got a response from Former YouTuber V1nce in the chat of the stream "ur actually an a-hole for that title, this is why you get 0 viewers and ur an unfunny loser kys". Jacob looked at the chat message and replied "chat, post his ip address" in a joking manner. Jacob achieved backlash for the title and also joking about leaking someone's IP Address. After that, YouTuber Acheeto would make a now deleted video titled "Weest is a terrible person...", where he furiously stated that Twitch shouldn't be platforming a bigoted creator, and also saying that G-Fuel is a bad company for sponsoring Weest and that Weest should be Cancelled. Acheeto also received backlash for previously stating that he is against Cancel Culture, but now wants people to Cancel Weest just because he made a bad joke about Christians. People suspected that Acheeto and V1nce got angry at Weest's stream due to them presumably being Christian.[3]
Acheeto made another response video on May 10th, 2022[4], where he apologized for all the stuff he said in his previous video, With him saying that you can't joke about leaking someone's IP Address in general and especially with such an audience and a platform. He also said that Jacob has a Habit for not apologizing for not admitting his fault in past controversies. He also said that Weest was promoting Comment Spaming, as he would like screenshots of people commenting on Acheeto's videos with "jesus is dead rip bozo". Acheeto said multiple times that Jacob acted really Immature throughout the entire situation, Acheeto ended it by saying that he wanted an Apology from Weest for jokingly telling his audience to grab Vince's IP address, who was 16 years old at that time. Acheeto's response was received with Mixed responses, as even though he claimed that Jacob was the Immature one, But some claimed that Acheeto was also acting Immature as he involved himself in the Drama just because Jacob made some Bad jokes, But Acheeto was the one who blew the situation out of proportion by attacking Twitch and G-Fuel.[5]
