Katy Esquivel (born: July 26, 1989), better known online as whatthechic, is a Peruvian YouTuber that uploads two weekly videos, in which she tries to give advice for adiara life, beauty and even content outside it as challenges of Internet or others.

When Katy studied design in Los Angeles, she had the idea of making a personal blog, until a friend recommended creating a YouTube channel. A first video was enough in which he spoke of perfumes for an American Network to offer him a contract. He agreed and they were in charge of promoting his channel, Whatthechic, and the revenue it would generate for two years.
