Whindersson Nunes Batista (born: January 5, 1995 (1995-01-05) [age 30]) is a Brazilian YouTuber who is best known for his music parodies, which at times includes guest stars, music and comedy vlogs, and his movie reviews.

He first found YouTube success in 2012 after struggling to maintain it for two years when he uploaded a parody of the song "Alô vó, tô reprovado". The parody received 5 million views the first week of its existence and when being invited to fellow popular Brazilian YouTuber, Bob Nunes' house because he had no place to live afterwards, shortly after, his channel gained many views and subscribers.

A day before opening his current channel however, that channel was hacked and deleted. Whindersson was left to start from scratch again.

However, in 2016, Whindersson's YouTube channel, whinderssonnunes, gained the second most amount of subscribers, just behind most-subscribed, PewDiePie. Also in that year, Whindersson was named the second most influential YouTuber just behind PewDiePie, and was named Brazil's second most influential person.

From October 2016 to February 2018, Whinderson had the most-subscribed Brazilian channel on YouTube by surpassing Porta dos Fundos and being surpassed by Canal KondZilla. Currently, he has the second most-subscribed Brazilian channel and most-subscribed YouTube channel to not have a history of having a YouTube partner with over 40 million subscribers, making his channel the 20th most-subscribed channel on YouTube overall. His channel is the youngest to be in the top ten most-subscribed channels, in addition, being the youngest user on the list.

Aside his YouTube channel, he also does acting and stand up comedy.

Personal Life[]

Whindersson lived with his wife, Luisa Sonza, who he married in a religious ceremony at a Catholic chapel near the sea in Alagoas, Brazil on February 28, 2018. In April 2020, Whindersson and Luísa anounced their marriage's end.

In November 2020, he started a relationship with the engineering student Maria Lina Deggan. In January, 28 2021, Whindersson, through his social media, announced that Maria was pregnant. On May 29, 2021, João Miguel was born, 22 weeks premature; however, the baby died two days after birth. Whindersson wrote a song for his son, titled "Quarto 1906" on the official YouTube channel.

In September 2019, Whindersson made his amateur boxing debut against Mario Silva in a boxing match for New Champion 2: Grandes Combates in Alphaville, São Paulo, Brazil on 28 September 2019. On the night of the fight, Nunes won his amateur bout against Silva.

Whindersson Nunes vs. My Mate Nate[]

On August 24, 2023, Happy Punch Promotions revealed that Kingpyn Boxing has not paid some of their fighters and the company is unresponsive.[1] On September 13, it was announced that Nunes will face American YouTuber My Mate Nate on the undercard of the MF & DAZN: X Series 10 – The Prime Card at the Manchester Arena in Manchester, England on October 14, 2023.[2] On the night of the fight, Nunes was defeated by Nate via unanimous decision.[3]

Whindersson Nunes vs. Neeraj Goyat[]

On May 21, 2024, it was announced that Nunes will face Indian professional boxer Neeraj Goyat on the undercard of Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas on July 20.[4] However, due to a personal issue with Mike Tyson, the event was postponed and will now take place at the same arena on November 15, 2024.[5] On the night of the fight, Nunes lost to Goyat via unanimous decision.[6]

Whindersson Nunes vs. Acelino Freitas[]

On 14 January 2022, it was announced that Whindersson would face Forty-six-year-old former WBO super featherweight champion Acelino Freitas as the headline bout for Fight Music Show 1 in Balneário Camboriú, Santa Catarina, Brazil on 30 January.[7] The fight ended in a draw after Nunes suffered a horror cut but was able to cling on to hear the final bell after eight rounds.[8]

Whindersson Nunes vs. Filipek[]

On 7 March 2023, it was announced that Whindersson had signed a multi fight deal with Kingpyn Boxing to compete in the High Stakes Tournament.[9] On March 12 at the Kingpyn Launch Party, Whindersson has matched up with the TBC fighter for the quarter final of the Kingpyn High Stakes Tournament at Wembley Arena in London, England on 22 April.[10] On March 30, it was announced that Whindersson's opponent will be Polish rapper and mixed martial arts fighter Filipek.[11] On the night of the event, Whindersson defeated Filipek via technical knockout in the 2nd round.

Whindersson Nunes vs. King Kenny[]

After defeating Polish mixed martial arts fighter Filipek, Nunes is now matched up with British YouTuber King Kenny for the semi-finals round for the High Stakes Tournament after he defeated Thai YouTuber My Mate Nate.[12] The bout is scheduled for 3 June 2023 at the 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland.[13] On 8 May, it was announced that Whindersson vs Kenny is now scheduled to take place on 1 July as the main event fight on the card of Kingpyn High Stakes Tournament: Semi-Finals.[14] According to American YouTuber Austin McBroom, the Kingpyn Tournament Semifinals has been rescheduled to 15 July.[15] On July 5, Happy Punch Promotions reported that Kingpyn has canceled their tournament after reportedly going bankrupt.[16] On July 7, DAZN announced their partnership with Kingpyn for the semi-finals of the tournament on July 15.[17] On the night of the fight, Whindersson was defeated by Kenny via unanimous decision.[18]
