The December 2022 bureaucrat vacancy vote was a site-wide election that took place from December 1, 2022 to December 8, 2022, between administrators BlindCartographer, a user who had been on Wikitubia since 2020 and had been primarily focused on the Discussions, and JustLeafy, a user who had been on Wikitubia since 2016 though didn't become a staff member until 2021 and was responsible for the creation of hundreds of pages on the site. The vacancy process began on November 18, 2022, when bureaucrat NameOfUser57 resigned. This was the first time that the bureaucrat vacancy process was used on Wikitubia.
JustLeafy won the bureaucrat vote with 23% more votes than BlindCartographer, and was promoted to the bureaucrat position on December 8, 2022.

Bullet round
As there were 3 candidates after the candidacy deadline, there was one bullet round scheduled for November 19, 2022, at 23:00 UTC to eliminate one of the candidates, which lasted 24-hours, and only staff members who were on Wikitubia's Discord server could vote, in addition to the Wiki Representative. The bullet round vote ended with Leafy overwhelmingly placed at first, however, 2nd place was much more competitive. Initially, BlindCartographer and Tylerota2 tied, but a separate admin-only tie-breaker round occurred which handed BlindCartographer the 2nd place spot.

Final Round
The final round, which was held between administrators BlindCartographer and JustLeafy began on 1:00 UTC on December 1, 2022 and lasted until 1:00 UTC on December 8, 2022. It was highly speculated that Leafy would win the final vote, and become the newest bureaucrat, however when the vote began, it was surprisingly close between the 2 candidates, but as time went on, it became more clear that JustLeafy was winning by a large rate. At the end of the vote JustLeafy had won by a margin of 23% more than Blind, or 27 more votes than BlindCartographer. On December 4, 2022, BlindCartographer conceded the race to JustLeafy[11]. JustLeafy was promoted to bureaucrat when the vote concluded on December 7.
