Q1: How and when did you discover YouTube?
- I can’t remember exactly, but it was around 10 years ago! I used to mainly just think Youtube was for music and cat videos until my sister introduced me to people who vlogged and such!
Q2: What was the first video you watched?
- Oh god I cant remember that haha!
Q3: How many videos do you estimate you have watched?
- Far too many!
Q4: How many channels are you subscribed to, and which is your favourite?
- I’m subbed to about 120! But out of that I probably watch about 20 haha, my favourite would probably be safiya Nygaard!
Q5: Who is the most subscribed to channel that is subscribed to you?
- That would be Grian!
Q6: What was the first YouTube channel you were a fan of?
- Strawburry17!
Q7: What do you think of the latest Minecraft update news?
- I really like the direction the Minecraft team are taking the game! It feels like they are listening to the community and making some good changes!
Q8: Was Dangthatsalongname your channel name when you started your channel?
- Dangthatsalongname was the name of this channel when I started it! But it wasn’t the only channel ive had haha
Q9: Do you have a favourite and least favourite video you have created?
- Favourite would probably be any of my end of year montages, as I love watching them for inspiration and to see how far ive come! And I cant think of any that I really don’t like!
Q10: Do you have a favourite thing that you’ve built in Minecraft?
- Probably my house in Funcraft or my current base in Legacy!
Q11: Can you remember your first video? What was it like uploading it?
- My first video was some weird vlog thing about apps I think! And god im so awkward infront of a camera haha
Q12: What’s your favourite thing about being a YouTuber?
- I really love that doing what I do lets me reach so many people all over the world and if I can help them through a hard time or make them laugh, then im happy!
Q13: What is your favourite thing about the Minecraft community?
- I love how supportive everyone is! Well, atleast the people I associate with anyway haha
Q14: How long have you been playing Minecraft?
- I first played WAY back in Alpha, then properly from when it first launched! A school friend was originally the one to tell me about it and I wasn’t a fan the first time I played haha
Q15: What was the first thing you made in Minecraft?
- A horrific dirt “house”, It didn’t even have a roof...
Q16: What do you use to record and edit videos?
- I use OBS to film and Adobe Premier Pro to edit!
Q17: How long does it take to make a video? What about thumbnails?
- A video can be anywhere from about 40min plus! And thumbnails can be super quick or take AGES if I just cant get it right!
Q18: When you are not making videos, what do you like to do in your free time?
- I play a lot of video games or watch tv! Obsessed with Animal Crossing and World of Warcraft at the moment!
Q19: If you could change anything about YouTube, what would you change?
- Hmmm, that’s a tough one! Overall I enjoy Youtube as a platform, and I don’t think any of the changes they’ve made have been bad in general, but if I could, id like for content to be pushed out to people who sub, rather than showing it to what they think people want!
Q20: Did you ever expect to get over 694,000 subscribers?
- Oh heck no! I was shook when I hit 10k let alone almost 700k!
Q21: Did you ever expect to have uploaded over 1,500 videos?
- IVE UPLOADED THAT MUCH?! Wow!
Q22: What is your lifetime view and subscriber goal? What was it when you started YouTube?
- I don’t really have a “view” goal, but id love to hit 1mil subs! I think that’d be awesome!
Q23: How long do you think YouTube will last?
- I don’t see Youtube going anywhere to be honest, I think its not as much of a key part of the internet as Google!
Q24: How long will you be uploading videos?
- Until I stop enjoying doing it!
Q25: Have you been to any YouTube or Minecraft conventions? If so, what was it like? If not, do you plan to?
- I have! I got to events regularly! Normally several a year (not counting this year ofcourse!) And I love them, because I get to hang out with friends and meet people who watch my videos! Its nice putting faces to names and such!
Q26: What advice would you give to aspiring YouTubers?
- You just have to keep at it and do it for the right reasons! Youtube isn’t a guaranteed job, and if you only want to do it to get famous or make money, itll be hard, as it can be really demotivating when you work hard and it doesn’t get any traction! So do it because you love it, and the audience will build!
Q27: What is the future for you and your channel?
- Currently its staying inside haha! But for me and my channel I want to keep making content and working on different series and videos!

- And I have done similar interviews before! This was great! Good range of questions! Even if there were some I couldn’t answer haha
