WikiaColors is a YouTuber with over 109,000 subscribers.

Q1: How did you discover YouTube?

  • Quite frankly, I have no idea. I was probably introduced to it at a young age but as I've been brought up with technology, I can't pinpoint the time I discovered YouTube. The earliest video I remember watching was the "scary maze game makes dude break the computer and pee himself lol ", which was back in 2011.

Q2: What made you want to become a YouTuber?

  • I don't quite not really. Probably at the time m friends at school had youtube channels with the bog standard 144p gameplay videos and they had like 20 subscribers, which, as a British schoolchild, is a pretty cool thing to have.

Q3: Who inspired you to make Gaming Videos?

  • At the time I made my channel, I didn't watch too much gaming videos. I guess for the variety of content I did, I need to look back at videos I used to watch when I was about 10 or 11, so DanTDM (a minecraft YouTuber) and BereghostGames (at the time a popular Roblox YouTuber). I don't watch too many gaming videos nowadays, so the inspiration is less on actual gaming YouTubers and more on creators which I watch now. For example, Tom Scott, CGP Grey, Lemmino and Geoff Marshall. Their videos have decided the style I go down - informative.

Q4: Who is your favorite and least favorite YouTuber?

  • I really don't like superlatives. It's an "in the moment" thing where you just name the first content creator that pops into your head at the time. So for that, my favourite is apparently the Sidemen. I don't really have anyone for "least favourite", I would just rather not watch someone's video if it doesn't appeal to me.

Q5: If you could change anything about YouTube, What would it be?

  • Change the algorithm to go against those who clickbait with thumbnails. At one point, it will go to a point where videos with "anti-clickbait" thumbnails are recommended the most.

Q6: Who is your most subscribed subscriber?

  • Someone called JustHarrison, according to my public subscribers. I have no idea what they do.

Q7: What is your favorite and least favorite video you made?

  • Again, another superlative question. I would be hard to judge since I don't often watch back my videos, so I cannot offer an answer.

Q8: Do you have any goals on YouTube?

  • Uhm, no not really. Do content for a while and see where it goes.

Q9: What advice would you give to someone who wants to do YouTube?

  • Be prepared for a lot of time not getting any traction on YouTube. You are unlikely to make one video that goes viral instantly. If you do, then maybe it's a bad thing since people subscribe for that video, instead of you as a content creator.

Q10: How did you come up with the name WikiaColors?

  • Compound word of "Wikia" and "Colors". I like joining two words together. "Wikia" originates from the fact that I edit wikias (or FANDOMs) and "Colors" to mock American spelling. Those who know me know I am British, so the correct spelling is of course "Colours". The only acceptable spelling.

Q11: Why do you think your most viewed video is the most viewed video on your channel?

  • I don't know what the most viewed video on my channel is as I type it. It has changed a fair bit over the span of two years. I guess it's for the informative style.

Q12: What do you think would happen if YouTube got banned worldwide?

  • Obviously, the internet would be in international panic mode. When YouTube went out for about an hour and the whole of the internet went mad. For me, it would be fine since I could just hack it at life in university and for entertainment I would just go to other platforms, which would undoubtedly spring up if YouTube was banned.

Q13: What is your least favorite part when making a video?

  • Uhm... I don't know really. Maybe the expectations of a video to be great but it turns out to be plain average? I don't quite know.

Q14: Who is the biggest YouTuber you met?

  • See, if we go in a game, then JOHN ROBLOX (825K subscribers), because we know each other for a while back. But I don't count that, so in real life, I don't know. I know I was once in a promotional image of the Olympic Torch in the background crowd during the London 2012 Olympic Games, but that doesn't really count as having met a YouTuber. Other than that, I haven't really met any YouTuber or gone out of my way to watch a YouTuber. I guess I've seen the Great Britain national women's football team play at Wembley Stadium during London 2012, but that probably doesn't count again, and I've probably passed some YouTubers while at certain parts of the UK, but I didn't realise it. I've also met famous Cambridge professors who probably have YouTube channels, but I don't know their names. I know some famous YouTubers who live near where I live so I've probably walked passed them at some point. I would like to add I’ve met some politicians, including one of my teachers having a politician in the UK House of Commons as a parent. Not YouTubers, but they are the most famous people I’ve met, I guess.
