The Wiki Jury consists of 7 staff members on Wikitubia, who are responsible for making decisions on contested block/ban decisions and ban appeals for Wikitubia. One of the jurors is selected to be the lead juror, who is responsible for managing the jury.
Sessions for the jury last a year, from January 1 to December 31.
A week before the beginning of each session (December 25), all staff members on Wikitubia who are on its Discord would be asked if they would like to be considered for the jury. They would be given 3 days to become a candidate, and if they don't reply within those 3 days, they would not be allowed to be a candidate.
If there are more than 7 candidates for the jury once the candidate period has ended, then there will be a vote held for the administrators to select the top 7 candidates to become the jury. Administrators would be able to vote for up to 7 candidates, and the vote would last 1 day, with a discussion for the selection being held the day prior that also lasts 1 day.
If there is a tie between candidates that is prohibiting a clear top 7, then the Head of Moderation at the time will break it.
The elected jurors would be promoted the first day of the new session (January 1). The juror who would become the lead juror is then selected from the incoming jurors by the current Head of Moderation the day before the session.
In order to remove a juror from the jury, 2/3 of the current jury must approve the removal. If a juror is no longer a staff member on Wikitubia or has left the Wikitubia Jury Discord server for over 24 hours, they will be removed from the jury.
In the situation of a vacancy on the jury, the lead juror will be given the responsibility to find a staff member to fill the vacancy.
If 2/3 of present administrators were to approve a notion on having a special juror selection vote early (in other words a snap election), then the process would occur after that notion was approved, with the only difference being that the jurors are promoted a day after the vote ends. The regular session votes would still occur as scheduled if this were to be the scenario.
