WillyMacShow (born: January 31, 1977 [age 47])[1], is an American[citation needed] YouTuber who is primarily focused on making commentary videos. He is mostly known for his "The Last Surviving YouTuber" series. He is also known for his 2 videos exposing John Swan.[citation needed]

Content[]

He makes videos and documentaries chronicling the behaviour and events of controversial YouTubers, or explanations of why certain YouTubers have bad reputations.

Documentaries[]

Last Surviving Youtuber[]

The "Last Surviving YouTuber" series of videos is undoubtedly his most successful. His most popular video to date is his one on Cr1tikal.[2] And second most viewed is his video on Filthy Frank.[3] Third is about Mumkey Jones.[4]

Behind the Meme[]

Behind the Meme was a meme channel which was known for its low quality videos about educating and explaining internet memes. EmpLemon made a video about Behind the Meme on May 8, 2017.[5] A few months after Lemon made his critical video on Behind the Meme, WillyMac made a video on September 5, 2017 mocking the situation.[6]

John Swan/Pieman[]

John Swan, another commentator. Got into a controversy with Minecraft YouTuber Dream. Dream accused John of impersonating him on Discord to troll a smaller commentator who goes by the name of HarleyTBS. Swan's defense was that an autistic 12 year old family friend hacked into his account and made a fake Dream account to troll Harley. John later admitted that he was in fact the one trolling Harley and there was no family friend. WillyMac made a video on a prior situation involving John with a 16 (15 at the time) YouTuber, Pieman.[7] And made a follow up about a call in which John tried to cover up himself lying about Dream.[8]

Eugenia Cooney[]

On October 5, 2021, Belle Aubrey tweeted "Have you heard the news? Apparently Eugenia Cooney was an innocent angel this whole time who never harmed a single soul with her endless pro-ana body checking & ED exploitation in front of her young fans, & the people trying to hold her accountable were the REAL bad guys!".[9] Several other YouTubers in the replies such as Spooky Weebtrash, Turkey Tom and Ricky Berwick called her out for exploiting Eugenia's disorder, blaming her for her own relapse and manipulating and profiting off of her, as well as calling her a hypocrite because she herself ignored criticism made in good faith.[citation needed]

On the same day, WillyMacShow uploaded a video titled "Tea Channels Won't Stop | Deplatforming Eugenia Cooney - Tea Channel Audit" where he detailed how Tea Channels lied and slandered several YouTubers for clicks and views, such as Gabbie Hanna who had a mental breakdown from all the harassment she received from them. However the video itself was centered around Eugenia Cooney, and how she was targeted by them even though she was already suffering, and a chapter of it was titled Pastel Belle's Lies and Deception.[10] The chapter went into detail on how Belle had advocated for people like Cooney to not be allowed on the internet, but later denied any involvement in the crusade to deplatform her. She had also made tweets asking Susan Wojcicki to take down her channel as it was harmful to the website's communities, encouraged her viewers to mass report any videos made by Cooney, and in one of her oldest videos, she explained why she supported taking down the channel. Willy also called out Repzilla for the same thing.[citation needed]

Trivia[]

  • He called the Indiana State Chess Association to confirm if Andrew Tate ever won a competition. He got a response two days later, after the rep went through all the records, with proof that Tate had never even participated in it.[11]
