Huw Arrowsmith (born: June 1, 1990 (1990-06-01) [age 35]), better known online as Windows On Windows (formerly MajorSky17) is a Welsh technology YouTuber who makes videos focusing on Microsoft's Windows operating system.

Most of the content on Huw's channel forms part of one or more series of videos. The following are listed below.

Development History[]

The Development History series is one of the channel's most well-known series. They explore and draw attention to interesting features in various development (e.g. beta) builds of Windows. The first series began in May 2012, focusing on Windows XP. As of July 2022, the development history series exist (in chronological order of upload) are Windows XP, Windows 95, Windows Vista, Windows 98 and Windows 8. The latter series is currently ongoing as of July 2022.

Advent Calendar[]

The Advent Calendar was a series of short videos uploaded daily from December 1-25 in 2021. The series consisted of videos providing a general overview of the operating system Windows and its history in the YouTube Shorts format. As of July 2022, the series has 25 episodes.

Live Streams[]

Live Streams is an archive of all of the channel's live streams listed in chronological order. Live stream topics range from general chit-chat, to exploring builds, unboxing memorabilia and more. The first regular live stream on the channel began on the 5th of June 2021.

Subscriber Showcases[]

The Subscriber Showcase series provides a chance for channel subscribers to submit content following a particular theme (i.e., the "Most Cursed Windows Install"). All submissions are then reviewed by Windows On Windows, and the best are chosen to feature in a special "showcase" video on the channel. As of the last Subscriber Showcase series, Windows On Windows personally features in the video, providing his reaction and commentary on the submissions, along with choosing an eventual winner. There have been four Subscriber Showcases as of July 2022.

What Is...?[]

What Is...? is a mini-series providing a general overview of the operating system Windows and its history. The series has 17 episodes as of July 2022, but has a mini-episode titled "What Is Windows On Windows?". The latest video of the series serves as the channel trailer as of July 2022, replacing the previous one in use since April 2014.

Who Is...?[]

Who Is...? is a mini-series about important figures in the history of Microsoft and what they did. The series has only 1 episode as of July 2022.

Other Videos[]

Some of Huw's videos do not form part of any series. The most well-known of these is Start Me Up: The Story Of The Start Menu & Taskbar, a standalone documentary that describes the history of the development of the Windows Start menu and taskbar, featuring other Tech YouTubers.
