Yash Raj Films, or simply YRF, is an Indian film company owned by Yash Chopra. The company has made many Bollywood films including War and Shamshera. They have Hindi-operated offices all around India, including in places like Mumbai and Bengaluru.
YRF was founded in 1970 by Yash Raj Chopra, an experienced member of the Indian film industry. Yash Chopra started out as a basic helper to his older brother, B.R. Chopra, and went on to direct and produce five different movies for his brother's other company, B.R. Films. YRF controls almost every process of making their films, such as the movie's, production, casting, editing, distribution, music, entertainment quality, marketing, design, digital, licensing, merchandising, talent management, brand sponsors, as well as the studios they produce the movies in. Yash Raj Films has its own studio, in which the majority of the films are produced, and simultaneously acts as the company's headquarters, based in Mumbai. After the death of the company's founder in 2012, his son Aditya Chopra took over as Chairman and Managing Director of the company.
