Dominic Richard Harrison[citation needed] (born: August 5, 1997 (1997-08-05) [age 27])[citation needed], better known professionally as YUNGBLUD (pronounced "Youngblood"), is an English[citation needed] musician and singer-songwriter. He created his YouTube channel on April 7, 2016.

Personal Life[]

Doninic Richard Harrison was born on August 5, 1997, to parents Justin and Samantha Harrison. He has two younger sisters named Jemima and Isobel. He attended Ackworth School before he was suspended from there, and later studied at Arts Educational School in London.[1]

Harrison struggled with ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) at a young age, and he stated that as a school student, he felt that his energetic nature was often misunderstood as "troublesome". He has also struggled with insomnia and had attempted suicide after many positive and negative events in life, which included the deaths of rappers Mac Miller and Lil Peep.[2][3]

In August 2019, Harrison had described himself as "sexually fluid" during an Attitude interview. He later stated that he is pansexual and polyamorous in December 2020[4], and had also dated fellow singer Halsey in 2019 before they announced their break-up in October of that year.[5][6]

Career[]

On April 7, 2017, one exact year after Harrison created his YouTube channel, he released his debut single "King Charles" (2017), and released his first EP (extended play), YUNGBLUD (2018), on January 19, 2018. Throughout his career, he has also engaged in activism, and has occassionally protested against political problems in his tours, such as gun violence, sexual assault, and laws that prohibit abortion.[7][8]

Harrison has also hosted and filmed his own short shows on his YouTube channel, including "Stay Home With : YUNGBLUD :" and "THE YUNGBLUD SHOW".
