Noah Olivier Smith (born: February 26, 2000), better known professionally as Yeat, is an American rapper known for his music.
Early life[]
Yeat was born as Noah Olivier Smith in Irvine, California to a Romanian mother and a Mexican father. When Smith was a teenager, he would move to Portland, Oregon where he would attend high school at. He would then move to New York to pursue his music career before moving to Los Angeles.
Career[]
Yeat started getting inspiration from favorite artists like Young Thug and Future on 2015. He would start rapping under the name of Lil Yeat, but then changed it to Yeat four years later. Smith released his first EP Deep Blue Strips on that year. He would then release a variety of singles, mixtapes and EPs on around 2019 and 2020 that would appear through his projects.
Yeat's viral attention skyrocketed through social media on 2021 with the song, "Sorry Bout That" from his mixtape, 4L (released on June 2021). Yeat would then release his EP Trëndi on August 2021 which had gained virality with songs "Mad bout that" and "Fukit". He would then play a snippet of "Gët Busy" on that month. The songs got cited by media for the following lyric, "This song already was turnt but here's a bell" around TikTok. It would gain traction that Drake would take notice by referencing the song on an Instagram story.
After Yeat gained viral success, Yeat would then sign up to Interscope Records for the release of his first studio album, Up 2 Më (released on September 2021) making it to #183 on the Billboard Top 200 chart. Yeat released his second studio album 2 Alivë on February 2022, which has also gained viral attention, debuting at #6 at the Billboard charts. Yeat released the subsequent EP Lyfë on September which had gained 42 million+ streams and has debuted at #10 on the charts. He released his follow-up of Lyfë with AfterLyfë on February 2023. The album debuted at #4 on the Billboard charts.

Smith created his channel on April 7, 2018 and uploaded his first video on July 31, 2021 which is a music video to his song "Monëy Twerk" from his 2021 mixtape 4L. His most viewed video is currently a music video to his song "Gët Busy" with 29 million views, as of June 2023.

- Yeat was commissioned to make a song for a Lyrical Lemonade trailer video of the movie Minions: The Rise of Gru called "Rich Minion". It would be soon associated with the "GentleMinions trend" on TikTok, which is an Internet meme involving people dressing up in suits to watch the film in theaters.
- Yeat is known for his other popular songs like "Rich Minion", "Talk", "Out thë way" and so on.
- Yeat would come up with ad-libs and phrases like "twizzy" and "luh geeky", as he would reference a Tonka in his songs, which his dad was inspiration of him creating unique words.
