Mario Sentell Giden Mims (born: May 19, 1981 (1981-05-19) [age 43]), better known online as Yo Gotti, is an American rapper known for his music.

Life[]

Mims was born on May 19, 1981. He grew up in Memphis, Tennessee, at the Ridgecrest Apartments in the neighborhood of Frayser.

Career[]

Mims began rapping at age 15 under the name "Lil Yo", while being affiliated with DJ Sound and his crew. He released a few albums, which included From Da Dope Game 2 Da Rap Game (2000), Self-Explanatory (2001), Life (2003), and Back 2 da Basics (2006). In 2012, Mims released his debut album titled Live From The Kitchen, with the first original single releasing on May 20, 2009, titled "5 Star".

In 2012, Mims created his record label CMG (Collective Music Group), and signed it to Epic Records. He released his sixth studio album, I Am, on November 19, 2013, with the first single being "Act Right", featuring YG and Jeezy. The second single, "King Shit", was sent to mainstream urban radio in the United States. The third single, "Cold Blood", featuring rapper J. Cole and Canei Finch, was released on October 27, 2013.

In 2021, Mims announced his eleventh album, CM10: Free Game, was delayed due to unknown reasons.

Channel[]

Mims created his channel on April 9, 2009, and he uploaded his first video on the same day. He uploads music videos, audio, and lyric videos to his channel.
