Jeffery Lamar Williams (born: August 16, 1991), known professionally as Young Thug, is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter. Known for his eccentric vocal style and fashion, he first received attention for his collaborations with rappers Birdman and Gucci Mane. In 2022 young thug and several associates were arrested on Rico charges and put into custody and received no bond. Young thug was denied bail four times.
The trial began in November 2023 and was paused in December when one of the young thugs associate was stabbed in jail but trial resumed a few days later, in July 2024 the judge was thrown off the case causing a mistrial, young thug remains in custody
