Yugo Asuma (遊間ユーゴ) (birthday: June 4) is a former Japanese VTuber affiliated with the fifth wave of Nijisanji EN, Noctyx. He debuted with Sonny Brisko, Uki Violeta, Alban Knox, and Fulgur Ovid.

He uploaded his first video, a short, on February 22, 2022. His debut was streamed live on February 26, 2022. Yugo has played Minecraft, KUUKIYOMI, Five Nights at Freddy's, Ready or not, A Plague Tale: Innocence, Devil May Cry, The Radio Station and Project Sekai on stream, and also hosts karaoke, guerilla and zatsudan streams.
Retirement[]
On December 14, 2022, ANYCOLOR, Nijisanji's parent company, posted the following notice:
"Thank you for your continued support of the NIJISANJI and NIJISANJI EN.
We hereby announce that NIJISANJI EN’s Yugo Asuma has graduated as of December 14, 2022.
Up until today, numerous discussions have been held with Yugo Asuma on what it means to be a Liver affiliated with a company. However, despite our discussions many aspects of his activities and behavior as a Liver could not be accepted as a company, and after much deliberation between both parties, as a company who supports many Livers from NIJISANJI and NIJSIANJI EN, we have decided to have Yugo Asuma graduate.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all the fans who have supported Yugo Asuma, and we deeply apologize for such an announcement.
As of today, Yugo Asuma will cease all Liver activities, and his YouTube Channel, Twitter, and other social media accounts will be made private, and the sale of merchandise and voice content will also be suspended.
The NIJISANJI EN VTuber group “Noctyx” will continue with Alban Knox, Sonny Brisko, Uki Violeta, and Fulgur Ovid.
We hope for your continued support of “Noctyx” and NIJISANJI EN.

Controversy[]
Earthquake joke[]
On March 16, 2022 an earthquake in Japan occured. Yugo, himself being a Japanese citizen who was affected by the earthquake, made a joke about it. This was seen as tone deaf as people died in the earthquake. Yugo tweeted an apology and then took a hiatus.[4][5]
Rude behaviour[]
In Amamya Kokoro's 2022 birthday stream, while both were streaming call-ins, Yugo at one point told Petra to "shut the fuck up". While he likely meant to say it under his breath, the mic picked it up and it was broadcast on-stream.[6] This is not the first time he has behaved rude to Petra.[7]
Discord leak[]
While it is yet to be confirmed, it is suspected that the main reason Yugo was let go from Nijisanji is because he often streamed without a schedule, was usually unprepared for streams (at one point, even forgetting to download Steam before a game collab) and at one point even accidentally leaked a message between him and his manager who was complaining about those very things.[8]
