Fuura Yuri (birthday: October 23) was a Canadian independent VTuber.

Yuri originally debuted in CyberLive's first generation, alongside Lumi Kaneko, Hylo Ayane, Seina Momozora and Pandora Utano. In 2022, she would leave CyberLive and alongside Lumi, to join Phase-Connect in their 1.5 generation Phase Invaders. However, in April of 2023, Yuri committed several violations which resulted in Phase-Connect terminating their contract with her, rendering her independent.

Content

Yuri' first video was a self introduction, and her next video was a short which became her most viewed video due to its cuteness. Her first song cover was of Cube Land and she has also covered だーいすきだよ - Neko Hacker. She has streamed herself playing It Takes Two, Layers of Fear, Portal 2, APEX Legends, Pummel Party, Tell Me Why, Far Cry 6, Medium, Night Deluvery and Star Stable. Her other content includes ASMRs, singing and shitposts.

Collaborations

Tenma hosted a stream of Prop and Seek which featured Uruka Fujikura, Ashelia Rinkou, Ebi Ushio and Yuri herself.

Yuri has played Phasmophobia with Lumi and Pippa. She has also played Phasmophobia with Mew, Lia, Panko and Shiina. Her Minecraft streams have featured Rita, Reina, Iori and Shee.

Yuri is good friends with Lumi, having known her since debut. They have played Grounded and The Forest together. They also hosted a stream which featured h2osakana. The two are such close friends that according to Yuri's TwitchRecap 2022, Lumi was one of her most viewed streamers alongside Froot, fallenshadow and DomoArigaThankyou.

Design

Yuri's original, main model artist was Rik0ring and rigged by kirribluedesu. Her former design was by herself. She shares her illustrator with Koffie, Runa Kamiru, Ryno and Emi Suika. Yuri refers to Riko's model as her "2.0 model".

Her alternative, unused model (or "1.0 model") was designed/rigged by MoshieStudio.

Her second outfit (or "3.0 model") was designed by Rik0ring and rigged by kirribluedesu.

Her third model was illustrated by 三つ葉ちょこ, designed by mins and rigged by KevinX.

Yuri is 145cm.

Her logo was made by Orihime.

Lore

Snow leopards are solitary animals. They spend most of their lives never coming into contact with another feline. Most Snow Leopards enjoy life this way, keeping to themselves, camoflauged in the cold alpines. But Yuri was not satisfied with a life sentence of loneliness. She tried befriending the local ibexes and mountain goats, but they did not wanna stick around a Snow Leopard, not for a moment. tired of the loneliness, tired of the cold snow, tired of jumping and climbing, Yuri set off on her voyage out of the moutains to find her true purpose and most importantly, friendship.

Controversy

Retirement from Phase-Connect

On April 23, 2023, Phase-Connect's official Twitter account tweeted the following:

"[Important Notice: Termination of Contract - Fuura Yuri]

April 23rd, 2023

Thank you for all the support towards Phase Connect and Fuura Yuri. It is with aching hearts that we must announce the termination of contract with our talent, Fuura Yuri.

The termination notice

At Phase Connect, we take contractual matters very seriously. It has been discovered, investigated and confirmed that there had been multiple, repeated breaches of the Phase Connect talent contract by Yuri in the past year she had been with us.

Upon the confirmation of these infractions, both the company and Yuri had gone to great lengths to remedy the situation.

Unfortunately, we were unable to come to a mutual agreement. Therefore, a continued working relationship and a renewal of contract were deemed impossible.

All of Fuura Yuri's activities will come to an end effective immediately. All of Yuri's social channels including her YouTube Channel, Twitch Channel, Twitter, Discord server, Tiktok as well as any currently for sale merchandise will be taken offline on May 1st, 2023. The company will be providing a full refund in Yuri's place for her most recent PC donation goal to those who request it.

Please fill out a refund request form in the replies below. Refund requests will be accepted until 23:59 PDT on May 1st, 2023. A final farewell video has been prepared by Yuri and will be posted to her Youtube Channel on April 30th, at 6:00 PM PDT. While a continued working relationship is no longer possible at Phase Connect, we wish Yuri the best in her future endeavors.

Yuri has a brother. Her mother is aware of her VTuber career. She also has a cat.

Around late 2021-January 2022, Yuri had to take a hiatus from streaming as she had contracted Covid 19. She took another one in December 2022 for mental health purposes.

During her affiliation with CyberLive, her channel was named Amaris Yuri Ch. [CyberLive]. After she left, the channel was renamed Yuri Ch. アマリス百合. Once she joined Phase-Connect, she renamed her channel to Yuri Ch. アマリス百合【Phase Connect】.
