Zaion LanZa (birthday: July 11) is a VTuber formerly affiliated with the seventh wave of Nijisanji EN, XSoliel.[1] She debuted with Meloco Kyoran, Doppio Dropscythe, Ver Vermillion, Kotoka Torahime and Hex Haywire.

Controversy[]
The Karaoke stream[]
When Zaion streamed The Karaoke for the first time, she made a joke about sexual assault related to a female character.[4] She was called out for this by many, including her genmate Hex Haywire, who revealed that as a victim of childhood sexual abuse, he was particularly hurt by the joke.[5]
Retirement[]
On February 8, 2023, Nijisanji's official Twitter account tweeted that Zaion was indefinitely suspended. She would remain inactive until her termination.[6]
On March 10, 2023, Nijisanji's official Twitter tweeted the following:
"March 10th, 2023 Notice:
Termination of Zaion LanZa's contract
Thank you for always supporting NIJISANJI and NIJISANJI EN.
We are sorry to announce the termination of our contract (hereinafter referred to as the Contract) with the NIJISANJI EN Liver Zaion LanZa, effective March 10th 2023.
Since her debut in December 2022, Zaion LanZa has repeatedly infringed upon the Contract and the rules Livers must comply to (hereinafter referred to as the Rules) during her streaming activities. In order for Zaion to reflect on her actions, we suspended her streaming activities in January 2023 and all of her activities in February 2023.
During the suspensions, we have had several discussions with her, including training about compliance.
However, her behavior and understanding of the Rules did not improve. Therefore, we have concluded that it is difficult to continue working with Zaion as a NIJISANJI EN Liver and, unfortunately, we had to make the decision to terminate her Contract. The actions performed by Zaion that led us to this decision are listed as follows:
· Using a copyrighted song in her stream without prior authorization
• Revealing internal information that can potentially cause issues for stakeholders during her stream
• Making statements that could lead to speculation or leaking of internal information using social media accounts that she personally operates, during her activity suspension time
• Offensive remarks regarding discrimination and sexual assault
· Several infringements of the Rules pertaining to the use of games defined by ANYCOLOR Inc. (including intentional infringements) and repeated false justifications given to ANYCOLOR Inc. regarding these infringements
• Expressing her will to perform streams using illegal games (also referred to as pirate games)
• Comments that can be considered offensive to the rights holder of a game during a stream Giving false information to other NIJISANJI EN Livers regarding the contents of her communications with ANYCOLOR Inc.
• Falsely claiming to have received permission from ANYCOLOR Inc. after a viewer commented on Zaion performing an action prohibited by the Rules • Falsely claiming to be sponsored by a brand during a stream
• Giving "likes" to comments falling under defamation of NIJISANJI Livers and ANYCOLOR Inc., using social media accounts that she personally operates
· Numerous other actions and comments infringing the Contract and Rules
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all the fans who have supported Zaion LanZa until now and we deeply apologize for having to announce the termination of her contract. With Zaion LanZa's contract being terminated, all her activities with ANYCOLOR Inc. will be stopped from today. Her YouTube channel and social media accounts will be made private, and her merchandise and voice pack sales will be stopped shortly.
We will continue supporting the activities of the NIJISANJI EN VTuber unit XSOLEIL and the remaining 5 members Doppio Dropscythe, Hex Haywire, Meloco Kyoran, Ver Vermillion and Kotoka Torahime.

On the same day, her YouTube channel was wiped of all content, and her Twitter account was privatized.
While reactions to the notice were vastly in favour of Zaion's termination of contract, others were critical of the list of reasons stated in the notice that led to her termination, as many other Nijisanji EN members had done the same and received no consequences. For example, one of the reasons stated was that Zaion used copyrighted music, however, Luca Kaneshiro had also used Okayu Nekomata's music without management's permission. Another reason cited was that Zaion had made a joke about sexual assault, however Kotoka Torahime had also taught Mysta Rias a joke about a real-life rape case ("ketsu ana kakute") during a stream and like Luca, received no consequences.[8] Mysta also didn't receive any consequences for repeating the joke to the Nijisanji CEO, Riku Tazami.[9]
On May 5, 2023, Sayu Okami released a Twitlonger with details about Zaion's termination and her account of the events. Though some information was withheld due to legal reasons, the document revealed many incriminating things about Nijisanji as a company with screenshots as evidence. Zaion alleged that during her interview, she was asked about the salaries of her old jobs and told that as a Nijisanji talent, she would be paid more than what her old jobs were paying her (though the amount was never specified). However, when it came to sales of merchandise, Nijisanji took a 98% cut of them and left 1-2% to the talents who the merchandise was based on. This was found to be true, as Mysta had confirmed so in a stream held in 2022.[10] Kson ONAIR made a tweet publicly condemning Nijisanji, stating "Damn 1-2% is fucked up. Companies, please please respect the talents If you can’t, just let them go without any threats and loss".[11][12]
Zaion also revealed that Nijisanji appointed a 2 week old hire to manage the branch of XSOLIEL, that she was told she was allowed to use her old Genshin Impact account as long as she hid her ID and later told off for using it despite complying with hiding it, and that her "two week suspension" was a prelude to her termination.[13][14] Sayu denied the allegations that she was Zaion.[15]
