He has also uploaded vlogs of himself in Krakow, Dhahran, Bournemouth, Tallin, Budapest and London. In 2019 Zuby would start a series, Real Talk, where he discusses social and political topics, often featuring guests.[citation needed]

Controversy[]

Police interaction[]

Zuby was mistaken by the British police as being responsible for the Basingstoke incident due to his clothing. Though he said the incident was a "really bad dream" and he had "never been so traumatised" in his life, he denied his race had anything to do with it (but agreed that it should still be considered a part of the investigation).[1]

Identifying as a female/transphobia accusations[]

Zuby was critical of transwoman competing in women's sports. So he identified himself as a female deadlifter and uploaded a video of himself breaking the previous held record on Twitter. He received critiscm from many news outlets.[2]

Zuby was also suspended from Twitter after tweeting "ok dude" at Emily Gorenski, a transwoman.[3] He has also voiced support for JK Rowling amongst several others when she was accused of transphobia.[4]

Personal Life[]

Zuby is of Nigerian descent, though he was born in the UK and raised in Saudi Arabia.[5] He is also a Christian.[6] He also has Computer Science degree from Oxford Uni.[7]

His father is a doctor and a fellow of the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene, and his mother a journalist. He has four siblings, and his cousin is deceased rapper Lotanna "Biglo" Udezue.[8]

Quotes[]

  • "When I was in boarding school in England, myself and my two Nigerian friends learnt to hide whenever the headmaster was showing visiting parents around, because he'd always try to show us off to promote the 'diversity' of the school. And it was mad weird and uncomfortable."[9]
  • "To those unaware, 'Zuby's Razor' is the theory that if someone has their pronouns listed in their twitter bio, there's a 99% chance that they're a weirdo."[10]

Trivia[]

  • Zuby speaks English, French and Spanish.[11]
  • As a child, Udezue played piano and trombone. He also played the trombone in a band.[citation needed]
  • According to a tweet on December 2021, he has been to over 36 countries.[12]
